South Korean Exchanges List AI Tokens, Prices Surge
The South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Bithumb and Upbit have recently expanded local access to two AI-linked crypto projects, Talus and Dolphin. Talus is an onchain AI-agent platform that combines blockchain-based verification with offchain computation, and has deployed its Protocol v2.0 on the Sui mainnet in August. Dolphin, on the other hand, is an AI and decentralized physical infrastructure project focused on distributing AI inference work across unused GPUs.
Bithumb listed Talus, ticker US, against the Korean won at a reference price of KRW37.85, while Upbit added Dolphin, ticker POD, across three markets: KRW, BTC, and USDT. The exchanges require users to use the specifically supported networks, Sui for US and Base for POD, when moving the tokens to or from their platforms.
The South Korean listings have generated significant price moves for both tokens, with Talus up around 40% over 24 hours and Dolphin up around 115% over the same period. However, market data cannot establish how much of those gains came directly from the Korean listings.
