South Korea's Eugene Investment Tests Stablecoins for Tokenized Securities Settlement
Eugene Investment & Securities has partnered with BEATOZ to test stablecoins for settling tokenized securities subscription payments onchain. The proof of concept will examine whether subscription, payment, and settlement can operate within a single blockchain-based system.
The agreement comes as South Korea prepares to introduce its regulated tokenized securities framework from February 2027. Eugene built its tokenized securities platform in 2024 and is participating in Hana Financial Group's won stablecoin consortium.
Eun Seok hoon, head of Eugene Investment & Securities' AX innovation division, described the agreement as a 'first step' toward infrastructure connecting tokenized securities and stablecoins.
