Southeast Asia Blockchain Sector Sees Record Funding Amid Fewer Deals
South-East Asia's blockchain sector has seen a significant rebound in funding this year. According to Tracxn data, $680 million in equity funding has been raised so far in 2026, more than double the $319 million raised in all of 2025. However, this growth is being driven by fewer deals, with just 25 funding rounds completed in 2026 compared to 46 in 2025.
A major contributor to this total was Crypto.com's $400 million Series D round, which accounted for almost 60% of the region's funding. Other notable deals include Edena Capital's $100 million Series D and Startale's $50 million Series A. These three rounds represent about 81% of regional funding.
The sector's funding pipeline shows increasing concentration, with only a small number of companies reaching later stages of funding. Singapore remains the dominant funding hub, accounting for 82.5% of the region's cumulative blockchain funding and hosting 2,285 companies tracked by Tracxn.
