SpaceX Allocates IPO Funds to AI Infrastructure Over Bitcoin
SpaceX has allocated its IPO funds to artificial intelligence infrastructure and short-term safe assets rather than Bitcoin, according to recent earnings reports. The company's second-quarter revenue rose 92% from a year earlier to $7.814 billion, beating market estimates. Adjusted EBITDA jumped 191% to $3.538 billion.
The $85.675 billion in funds raised during the IPO was largely invested in money market funds and government securities, totaling $76.123 billion as of June 30. By contrast, Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 18,712 BTC since end-2025, with a fair value loss of $539 million.
SpaceX's investment priority has been AI infrastructure, with $15.828 billion spent in the second quarter, more than 21 times the amount spent a year earlier. The company plans to continue capital spending at a similar level for the remaining two quarters this year.
