Stablecoin Card Spending Hits $1 Billion Monthly Milestone
The stablecoin-backed payment card market has reached a significant milestone, surpassing $1 billion in monthly spending for the first time in July. According to industry reports, this represents a 16% increase from June's figures and marks a remarkable 200% growth compared to the same period last year.
More than 10 million separate transactions were completed using stablecoin-powered cards throughout July, with Jupiter Global's Visa card backed by USDC playing a major role in this expansion. The company documented a 65% surge in new user registrations during the period, building on its already impressive 660% increase in sign-ups since the product's initial launch.
Visa dominates the stablecoin payment card ecosystem, processing approximately 90% of all transactions. USDT accounts for roughly 62.5% of total settlement volume, while USDC makes up a significant portion of the remaining balance. International users accounted for 68% of total stablecoin card spending volume.
