Stablecoin Card Spending Tops $1 Billion for First Time
Stablecoin spending via cards reached an all-time high of $1.17 billion in September, despite a slight dip in transaction count to 11 million from August's 11.07 million.
The average purchase size rose to around $107 due to larger transactions driving the record-breaking total, according to data from PaymentScan.
Base led the way with $216.8 million in spending on stablecoins, followed by RedotPay at $401.9 million over 30 days, making it the largest tracked provider.
The expansion of stablecoin-linked cards is becoming more visible across blockchain infrastructure, with activity spreading across several major networks rather than relying on a single settlement layer.
