Stablecoin Market Cap Sinks $14 Billion Since May Amid Liquidity Fears
The market capitalization of stablecoins has been struggling to recover since May, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. On October 3, he stated that the total market cap of stablecoins remains insufficient due to a lack of liquidity in the crypto market.
Since May, the total market capitalization of stablecoins has decreased by $14 billion, which reflects significant capital outflows from the market. However, there have been some signs of improvement since September, with the stablecoin market cap increasing by approximately $4 billion and rebounding to around $270 billion.
Darkfost noted that while there are early signs of a reversal in the stablecoin market cap trend, the current recovery remains limited, and further liquidity inflows are needed to drive Bitcoin prices higher.
