Stablecoin Market Tops $300B, Tron Sees $5B Gain
The stablecoin market has reached a new milestone, with a total capitalization of $300.9 billion as of October 1, 2026. The market covers 195 assets, 152 issuers, and 47 blockchain networks. Tether and Circle continue to dominate the market, accounting for 85.9% of total stablecoin supply.
Tron experienced significant growth during the quarter, adding $5 billion in stablecoin supply. Ethereum's supply, on the other hand, declined by $4.9 billion. The largest shifts occurred between chains, with Tron rising 5.6% to $93.9 billion, and Ethereum's market capitalization falling $4.9 billion.
The top 10 chains added a combined $8.4 billion, with Tron accounting for approximately 60% of the growth. The top 10 issuers added a combined $3.5 billion, with Circle adding $915.0 million, and Ripple following with $765.3 million.
