Stablecoin Outflows Don't Signal Bull Market, Warns BTC.top Founder Jiang Zhuoer
Stablecoin outflows have been a recurring theme in the crypto market over the past year, but according to Jiang Zhuoer, founder of mining pool BTC.top, this trend should not be misinterpreted as a signal for a bull market.
In his analysis, Jiang noted that Tether's (USDT) market capitalization fell from $184.2 billion to $183.1 billion, while USD Coin's (USDC) market cap declined from $73.28 billion to $72.15 billion over the past month.
These outflows are not necessarily a precursor to a sustained rally, Jiang argued, but rather reflect a broader risk-off sentiment among investors who may be redeeming their tokens to lock in profits or reduce exposure amid ongoing market uncertainty.
Jiang also predicted that Bitcoin could potentially rise to between $68,000 and $70,000, which might liquidate accumulated short positions. However, he cautioned that the overall downtrend would likely resume afterward, suggesting that any short-term upward movement may be a temporary correction rather than the start of a new bull phase.
