Stablecoins Come of Age as CLARITY Act Stalls
The CLARITY Act has stalled in the US Senate, but the stablecoin market is moving forward. With a market size of nearly $300 billion and growing, stablecoins are increasingly being used for payments and financial infrastructure.
XREX Group is hosting the Stablecoin Summit 2026 in Singapore on October 8th, bringing together regulators, industry leaders, and partners to explore the next phase of stablecoin adoption.
Wayne Huang, Co-founder and Group CEO of XREX Group, stated, 'Stablecoins have grown into an independent industry, but there is no single path forward.' He emphasized the need for common infrastructure and standards that can connect different efforts and enable seamless value transfer between institutions, platforms, and markets.
The summit will feature speakers from Curve Finance, Bridge, Stripe, S&P Global Ratings, Coinbase, StraitsX, Visa, SAP, Paxos Labs, Aave Labs, and more. They will discuss the expanding applications of stablecoins across interoperability, payments, settlement, the AI economy, and supply chain finance.
