Community banks are gaining a competitive edge by adopting stablecoins, according to Brian Armstrong, co-founder and CEO of Coinbase. The executive stated that his firm is assisting over 1,000 community banks in accessing stablecoin capabilities within their existing systems through its collaboration with Moov.

The partnership aims to deliver faster digital transaction solutions for these financial institutions. This move comes as Coinbase continues to expand its offerings, including higher USDC rewards for customers. Armstrong recently announced that users can now earn more from digital assets by accessing higher USDC rewards.

Armstrong also drew parallels between tokenized assets on blockchains and earlier technology shifts, suggesting they could create new players in finance.
