Stacks Price Surges 28% with Muneeb Ali's Return
The price of Stacks (STX) has surged by 28% following the return of its founder, Muneeb Ali, to an operating leadership role at Stacks Labs. Ali is taking over as CEO, replacing interim CEO Alex Miller, who will move into an advisory role. This change comes as the network's Bitcoin staking product enters its expansion phase, with the next institutional Bitcoin staking round set to open on October 10.
The Genesis Bond, which launched on September 10, has already seen participants bond approximately 230 BTC alongside 310,000 STX, receiving 0.28 BTC in weekly rewards by September 24. Ali has identified increasing Bitcoin capital on Stacks and expanding institutional adoption as priorities, alongside network capacity, privacy, and security upgrades.
The current market price of STX is around $0.36, with a critical resistance zone near $0.40. A sustained move beyond this zone could open up $0.45 and potentially the broader $0.50 region. However, if the price were to move back below $0.34-$0.35, it could weaken the current structure and expose the $0.30-$0.32 area.
