Stacks Price Surges on Founder's Return Amid Institutional Staking Growth
Stacks' price surged by 28% following the return of its founder Muneeb Ali to an operating leadership role at Stacks Labs. This move comes as the network's Bitcoin staking product enters its expansion phase, with a new institutional round set to begin on October 10.
The Genesis Bond, launched on September 10, has already seen significant participation from institutions such as 21Shares, HashKey Cloud, UTXO Management, and Sypher Capital. The next bonding period will have twice the capacity of the initial launch, with around 500 BTC available for staking alongside STX.
Ali's return to CEO marks a shift in focus for Stacks towards scaling adoption and institutional participation. He has identified increasing Bitcoin capital on Stacks and expanding institutional adoption as priorities, alongside network upgrades for capacity, privacy, and security.
The current market data places STX around $0.36, with the token having broken through a descending resistance structure and reclaiming the central resistance area around $0.34-$0.35. The next key technical zone to break is the recent high of $0.414-$0.42, which would open up the $0.45 and broader $0.50 regions.
