Stacks (STX) Surges 22% on Institutional Bitcoin-Staking Support and CEO Return
The Stacks (STX) token has seen a significant price increase of over 22% in the last week, driven mainly by new institutional Bitcoin-staking products and a high-profile leadership change. The CEO of Stacks Labs, Muneeb Ali, returned to his position after being absent for some time, which re-priced the token before and during the recent rally.
The Genesis Bond and PoX-5 Bitcoin bonds have also been contributing factors to the price increase. These institutional bonding periods require STX as capacity collateral, structurally tying more institutional participation to higher STX demand.
Additionally, Anchorage Digital's announcement that it will support institutional Bitcoin staking on Stacks has further boosted the token's price. This support allows institutions to set up and fund BTC Bonds directly from Anchorage accounts, earning BTC rewards while keeping custody inside a regulated U.S. digital asset bank.
