Stalled Clarity Act Seen as Boon for Bitcoin
Michael Saylor, Strategy Executive Chairman, believes that the stalled CLARITY Act could boost Bitcoin activity. The bill fell 11 votes short of the 60 needed to advance in the Senate.
Saylor predicts that regulators will proceed without waiting for another congressional vote and expects banks to expand their Bitcoin custody services and offer additional loans backed by the asset.
The Strategy chairman thinks that this development could create new channels for capital to enter the market. He also pointed out that the GENIUS Act has already established a federal framework for payment stablecoins, leaving only clarity on Bitcoin as the remaining policy gap.
