Stand With Crypto Endorses Congressional Candidates Ahead of 2026 Elections
Crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto has announced its endorsement of several US congressional candidates ahead of the 2026 elections. The organization, launched by Coinbase in 2023, aims to push for clear and common-sense regulations in the digital asset space.
The endorsements include Senate candidates such as Ohio Republican Jon Husted, Iowa Republican Ashley Hinson, and New Hampshire Democrat Chris Pappas. In the House of Representatives, Stand With Crypto is backing candidates like Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Shomari Figures in Alabama.
Stand With Crypto's Executive Director Mason Lynaugh attributed the endorsements to voting records related to digital asset legislation, specifically the CLARITY Act. This bill, which aims to provide regulatory clarity for crypto market structure, has faced challenges in Congress. The group is warning lawmakers who do not support the bill could face consequences.
