Standard Chartered Predicts Huge Gains for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP
Standard Chartered's digital assets research team has made some bold predictions for four cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP. According to their analysis, these assets have significant growth potential over the long term due to increasing institutional adoption.
The bank predicts that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the end of 2026, with a potential price of $200,000 in 2027 and $500,000 in 2030. This is attributed to rising rates of institutional investment in Bitcoin, with Wall Street institutions creating new products and large investors adding it to their portfolios.
Ethereum's future looks bright as well, with a predicted price of $10,000 by the end of 2027 and a potential high of $40,000 by 2030. The bank attributes this growth to Ethereum's role in decentralized finance (DeFi) and its emergence as a key player in real-world asset tokenization.
Solana is another promising cryptocurrency, with Standard Chartered predicting a price of $265 by the end of 2027 and a potential high of $2,000 by 2030. The bank notes that Solana has become an important blockchain for DeFi, ranking second only to Ethereum in terms of total value locked.
XRP also has significant growth potential, with Standard Chartered predicting a price of $7 by the end of 2027 and a potential high of $28 by 2030. The bank attributes this growth to Ripple's emergence as a top fintech business building out a blockchain-based payment network for banks and financial institutions.
