Standard Chartered Predicts Major Gains for Four Altcoins
Standard Chartered, a top global bank, has recently focused on altcoins beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. The bank's analyses have covered several altcoins, including $AAVE and Uniswap, and now it highlights four additional altcoins: Uniswap ($UNI), Aave ($AAVE), Morpho ($MORPHO), and Arbitrum ($ARB). Geoffrey Kendrick, Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered, believes the crypto market is entering a new era as traditional finance adopts blockchain networks. He emphasizes that tokenization is a permanent trend and predicts significant growth for the four mentioned altcoins.
The bank had previously set a $100 target for $UNI, but Kendrick suggests this may be too conservative. He highlights Uniswap's strong liquidity network and its token buyback and burning mechanism as key factors for potential appreciation. For Aave, Kendrick projects a target of $3,500 by the end of 2030, recognizing it as a leader in the on-chain banking system. Morpho is seen as having growth potential in on-chain asset management, with a target of $60.
Kendrick's most ambitious prediction is for Arbitrum, forecasting $ARB could reach $10 by 2030. This is based on Robinhood Chain's use of Arbitrum technology and the revenue it generates. The bank also anticipates that institutional investors moving real-world assets onto the blockchain could accelerate DeFi ecosystem growth, with tokenized assets potentially reaching $4 trillion by 2028.
