Standard Chartered Predicts UNI Token Will Soar 40-Fold by 2030
Standard Chartered has initiated coverage on Uniswap (UNI), expecting its token to rise significantly in value by 2030. The bank forecasts that the amount of assets locked in DeFi will reach $2.7 trillion, a 37-fold increase from current levels.
The growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of tokenized assets on-chain, which Standard Chartered expects to reach $4 trillion by 2028. By 2030, this share is expected to rise to 30% from its current 3.5%, with a significant portion coming from stablecoins and real-world assets.
Uniswap's infrastructure role in decentralized trading, longevity, brand recognition, and dominance in highly correlated pair trading make it an attractive option for investors. The bank believes that Uniswap will benefit significantly from the expected growth in tokenized assets moving into DeFi.
Standard Chartered forecasts UNI to rise 40-fold to $100 by end-2030, outperforming both Bitcoin and Ethereum through the end of the decade. This is based on its expectation that Uniswap's market cap-to-transaction fees multiple will increase due to significant traditional finance partnerships.
