Record Stablecoin Reserves Top $69 Billion
CryptoQuant contributor Crazzyblockk reported on December 29 that centralized exchanges hold a record $69 billion in stablecoin reserves, representing approximately 22% of the entire stablecoin market.
Binance alone holds $49 billion, or roughly 71% of all exchange-based stablecoin capital, making it the largest single pool of deployable funds in cryptocurrency markets.
Analyst CW noted that retail traders and whales were buying simultaneously on Binance during Bitcoin's recent rebound to around $90,000. However, others are more cautious, with Ali Martinez warning this could be another short-lived rebound due to negative capital flows and continued spot ETF outflows.
The record stablecoin supply of $314 billion in 2025 has intensified scrutiny over whether markets are positioned for a significant rally once investor sentiment shifts.
