Standard Chartered Sees Arbitrum Outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum
Standard Chartered predicts Arbitrum (ARB) will hit $10 by the end of 2030, representing a 70-fold gain that outperforms both Bitcoin and Ethereum. According to Geoff Kendrick, Global Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered, the bank expects Arbitrum's price to reach $0.50 by the end of 2026, $1.50 by the end of 2027, $3.50 by the end of 2028, and $6.50 by the end of 2029 before reaching its target of $10.
The bank's thesis centers on Arbitrum's role as enterprise blockchain infrastructure for traditional financial firms. Its Expansion Program collects a rolling fee equal to 10% of net protocol revenue from external chains using its technology stack, which Standard Chartered estimates will generate around $5 million in September alone after Robinhood Chain launched on its tech stack.
Kendrick argues that success creates a template for other traditional finance firms to launch their own chains on Arbitrum, multiplying the fee stream further. The bank also projects significant growth in tokenized assets, with an estimated value of $4 trillion by the end of 2028, and tokenized equities reaching $750 billion over the same period.
