Standard Chartered has lowered its year-end XRP price target to $2.80 from $8, a significant 65% reduction following February's cryptocurrency market downturn.

The bank's decision comes as part of broader forecasts that include reduced targets for major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

XRP had previously reached an all-time high of around $3.40 in July 2025 but has since fallen to approximately 59% below that level, trading at around $1.16 last month.

Assets in XRP exchange-traded funds have also seen a decline of over 40%, dropping from $1.6 billion on January 5 to around $1 billion by mid-February.
