Starknet STRK Token Staking Gains Momentum with Attractive APR
The Starknet STRK token staking system is gaining attention due to its attractive APR of 12.1% on OKX as of September 28, 2026. This makes it an appealing option for investors looking to earn a high return on their tokens. The Starknet Foundation manages the community allocation of 1.8 billion STRK tokens, which are distributed through various channels.
The distribution includes 20.04% for early contributors, 18.17% for investors, and 10.76% for StarkWare. A significant portion of these tokens, 700 million out of 900 million, were distributed during the first round of Provisions between June 20, 2023, and June 20, 2024. Any unclaimed tokens return to the pool for future distributions.
The network is transitioning towards decentralized sequencing, with the Grinta upgrade in September 2025 introducing a Rust-based sequencer under the Apache 2.0 license. This new infrastructure aims to improve throughput and latency. However, despite these efforts, the proving process remains centralized under StarkWare.
