StarkWare Hosts Privacy Summit in Singapore During Token2049 Week
StarkWare is set to host a Privacy Summit in Singapore on October 7, 2026, strategically timed to coincide with Token2049 Singapore. The event, running from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time at Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ 3), will feature panel discussions, live demos, and talks centered on onchain privacy and its underlying technology. Registration is currently open.
The summit will explore three key themes: compliance, practical use cases, and privacy toolkits. Compliance will address how privacy tools can align with existing regulations, while practical use cases will cover private payments and decentralized finance (DeFi). The toolkit section will delve into four major approaches to maintaining data confidentiality on public infrastructure, including zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), secure multi-party computation (MPC), and trusted execution environments (TEEs).
The event aims to attract a diverse audience, including privacy protocol teams, researchers, builders, institutions, and policymakers. Confirmed speakers include StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson, Harsh Bajpai of Zcash, and representatives from Fhenix, Umbra Wallet, Aztec Labs, Miden, NEAR, Orochi, and DashX.
StarkWare, known for its proving systems that have processed over $2.8 trillion in cumulative transaction volume since 2020 with zero proof failures, carries an $8 billion valuation. The company's backers include Paradigm, Sequoia, and Coatue. The summit follows the June 2026 launch of STRK20, a ZK privacy framework for ERC-20-style tokens on Starknet, which supports shielded transactions and selective disclosure mechanisms for regulatory compliance.
