StarkWare Puts Post-Quantum Security Front and Center

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson has been advocating for affordable privacy and post-quantum security in blockchain projects. He argues that these properties should be standard features, not luxury upgrades, as the industry currently approaches them.

The company is preparing to release a comprehensive post-quantum security roadmap for Starknet on June 30, 2026, positioning it as the most robust plan in crypto. Ben-Sasson's thesis is that serious blockchain projects need to integrate these properties from the start rather than scrambling to retrofit them once quantum computing becomes a real threat.

StarkWare's technical advantage lies in its architectural design, which uses STARK proofs relying on hash functions rather than elliptic-curve cryptography. This makes it inherently resistant to quantum attacks, unlike elliptic-curve methods that are expected to be shattered first by quantum computers.
