Stellar Introduces Four-Tiered Ambassador Program for Developer Adoption

The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has launched the Stellar Ambassador Program to drive ecosystem growth and developer adoption. The program introduces a four-tier system, Explorer, Contributor, Builder, and Ecosystem Leader, to support participants as they scale their involvement from onboarding to leadership.

The Explorer tier helps participants get acquainted with the Stellar ecosystem through workshops and educational resources. Contributors create technical content, mentor newcomers, or host events and gain access to advanced bootcamps and speaking opportunities.

Builders focus on deploying projects, such as smart contracts or prototypes, and are eligible for features like product integration support and milestone-based incentives. Notably, Builders can also apply for Instawards, which provide up to $15,000 in funding for experimentation and prototyping.

The program builds on earlier successes, having onboarded 2,595 ambassadors, launched nine regional chapters, and engaged nearly 8,000 attendees across 129 events as of Q1 2025. SDF has integrated the Ambassador Program with other ecosystem incentives to ensure that projects initiated through the program can seamlessly transition from community activation to funded development and user acquisition phases.
