Stellar Partnerships Fail to Lift XLM Amid Bearish Trend
The Stellar blockchain network has secured two major partnerships that could give investors confidence in its future. Financial services giant MoneyGram is using Stellar to power their new virtual Visa card, the MoneyGram Card by Rain, a fintech platform. This product is specifically tailored for the Latin American market and provides transaction speeds through the Stellar network.
Another significant partnership was announced in May when DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation) announced that its tokenization service would utilize the Stellar network. This move provided a major boost to investor sentiment, with the launch of the service scheduled for October and tokenized DTC assets expected to be available on the network by the first half of 2027.
Despite these developments, the long-term trend of XLM (Stellar's native cryptocurrency) remains bearish. The altcoin has struggled to recover from a loss of its former support zone at $0.225 in early 2026. Following the DTCC partnership announcement in May, XLM did experience a parabolic rally and nearly reached $0.30, but this momentum was short-lived.
The CMF (Chande Momentum Factor) has been below -0.05 on the weekly timeframe for most of the year, indicating persistent capital outflows in the long-term. The Awesome Oscillator shows weakly bullish momentum, but overall, a meaningful recovery would require XLM to flip its former support zone back into a support area.
