Stellar Price Pulls Back Amid Consolidation Phase
Stellar's price has pulled back by 3.66% over the last 47 hours, but this move is seen as a minor consolidation within a larger uptrend driven by recent network upgrades and institutional adoption.
The Adapter (Protocol 28) upgrade went live on mainnet in mid-September, improving consensus speed, enabling atomic upgrades of contract fleets, and cutting ledger close times from about 5.7 seconds to around 5 seconds, with a reported 10-15% throughput gain and peaks above 216 transactions per second (TPS) over 100 blocks.
Stellar has also set a new transaction speed record of roughly 217.4 TPS over a 100-block window, driven not by stress tests but by real flows from about 72 tokenized real-world asset (RWA) projects and institutional bond and fund products.
The CME Group is preparing to launch regulated Stellar (XLM) futures on October 19, which is seen as a strong signal of institutional readiness to hedge or speculate on XLM via a major US derivatives venue.
