Stellar Sets New DeFi Record with $273 Million TVL
Stellar has achieved a new milestone in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, with its total value locked (TVL) surpassing $273 million as of October 2, 2026. This marks the highest level ever recorded for the network since its inception, according to data from DeFiLlama. The surge in TVL comes just one week after it initially reached approximately $265 million, indicating sustained growth in capital deployment across Stellar's protocols.
The network's native token, XLM, has also benefited from this growth, reflecting increased interest and activity. Beyond its DeFi achievements, Stellar has seen substantial increases in other areas, including a stablecoin market capitalization of about $934.54 million and $2.82 billion in active real-world asset (RWA) assets under management.
User participation on the Stellar network has also surged, with active addresses nearing the 100,000 milestone at 94,972. Additionally, the network's 24-hour decentralized exchange (DEX) volume reached $3.38 million, underscoring the growing engagement of its user base.
