Stellar Surges on Catalysts from BVNK Integration and Protocol Upgrade
Stellar's price surged 3.16% over the last 31 hours due to a series of catalysts that have driven its ongoing uptrend. The integration of BVNK, a stablecoin payments platform acquired by Mastercard, has boosted XLM's adoption narrative by adding native Stellar support for customers across more than 130 markets.
This integration positions Stellar as a key on-chain settlement rail alongside Ethereum, Solana, and Tron, highlighting its sub-penny transaction fees and 5-second settlements. While ultra-low fees limit direct token demand, this integration reinforces Stellar's role as real-world payments infrastructure.
The recent Protocol 28 upgrade has also enhanced network performance and throughput, contributing to a 13 percent rally in 24 hours. XLM broke above its 50-week moving average, outperforming XRP and gaining technical strength.
Additionally, the US Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) selected Stellar for its tokenization service, set to begin in early 2027. CME Group's announcement of upcoming XLM futures has increased institutional interest and liquidity.
