Step App Announces Shutdown Effective August 21

Share

Move-to-Earn project Step App has announced its shutdown effective August 21. The company stated that users should unstake locked tokens and manage exchange positions before access ends.

The app, which combined fitness tracking with blockchain rewards, recorded over one million downloads and billions of steps tracked during operations.

Step App's shutdown follows several exchange decisions involving the FITFI token, including Bithumb's halt on trading and withdrawals until September 18.

The team behind Step App did not disclose a reason for the closure, citing only that it was a final operational wind-down rather than a migration to another product or token.
