StoneX has reaffirmed its Buy rating on DeFi Technologies Inc. (DEFT) and kept its $1.00 price target. The stock is near its 52-week low, down 71% year-to-date, reflecting the tough crypto market conditions the company has faced.
The firm highlighted Valour, DeFi Technologies’ exchange-traded product franchise, which reported $640.2 million in assets under management as of September 2. This marks a $243 million, or 61.2%, increase from $397.2 million at the end of June.
StoneX expects DeFi Technologies’ third-quarter 2026 results, due next month, to show the first quarter of asset growth for Valour in a year. The analyst suggested that the worst of the company’s crypto winter may be over, even though the share price has yet to reflect any positive change.
DeFi Technologies has faced scrutiny after its second-quarter 2026 report, which missed revenue and earnings expectations and showed a decline in monetization. Despite this, Benchmark maintained a Buy rating but lowered its price target from $2.00 to $1.00. Meanwhile, Jones Trading initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $1.00 price target, citing cash flow from management fees and yield on underlying crypto assets.
