Strategy Adds 950 More Bitcoins to Its Record-Breaking Reserve
Strategy, a financial and crypto news giant, made another significant Bitcoin purchase. Between September 14-20, it bought an additional 950 BTC at an average price of $79,670 per coin.
The total value of the new acquisition is around $75.7 million, according to The Block's report based on Strategy's SEC filing. This move brings Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 846,000 BTC, a significant increase in its reserves.
This latest purchase was funded by Strategy's USD Cash account, which had approximately $1.05 billion at the end of September. It also repurchased 1.77 million STRC preferred shares for around $174 million during the same period.
Strategy now holds more than 4% of Bitcoin's total supply, making it one of the largest publicly traded companies to invest in the cryptocurrency. The company's return on investment is substantial, with its total cost of approximately $63.8 billion and a current value of around $71.9 billion.
