Strategy Bolsters Cash Position with $2 Billion Raise and New Cash Pool
Strategy, the world's largest public company holding Bitcoin, has made significant moves to bolster its financial position. Between August 17 and August 23, the company sold 18.26 million MSTR shares through an at-the-market (ATM) offering program, raising approximately $2 billion in common stock sales.
This influx of capital was used to repurchase about 1.43 million STRC preferred shares for $136.4 million, add $300 million to its US dollar reserve, and direct the remaining proceeds to a newly launched US dollar cash account.
The new cash pool has a value of $1.59 billion as of Sunday, bringing Strategy's total cash across two pools to $6.69 billion. The company maintains its position on holding Bitcoin, with 840,447 BTC acquired at an average price of $75,385 per coin, valued at $63.36 billion.
