Strategy Boosts Bitcoin Holdings to 848,000 with Latest Purchase
Strategy, the prominent Bitcoin-focused company, announced last week that it acquired an additional 334 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 848,000. The purchase was part of the company's ongoing strategy to accumulate more of the cryptocurrency, despite already holding a substantial amount.
The company also reported a significant gain of $21 billion from its digital assets during the third quarter of 2026. This notable profit underscores the company's strong performance in the crypto market. Additionally, Strategy repurchased $176 million of its preferred stock, labeled STRC, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing shareholder value.
As of October 4, Strategy held $5.7 billion in dollar assets. Chairman Michael Saylor provided further insights on X, stating that the company's USD duration was 3.6 years. He also mentioned that assuming a 10% annual Bitcoin yield, 40% volatility, and a Bitcoin price of $84,289, Strategy's 'BTC credit' would be 50 basis points.
