Strategy Boosts Bitcoin Holdings with $28.7 Million Purchase
Strategy has made a major move in the Bitcoin market, acquiring 334 BTC for $28.7 million. This purchase, reported by influencer @WuBlockchain, brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 848,000 BTC. The acquisition was made at an average price of $85,839 per BTC between October 1 and 4, reflecting Strategy’s strong confidence in Bitcoin’s long-term value.
The company funded part of this acquisition with $15.7 million from selling MSTR shares and $13 million in cash. Additionally, Strategy spent $176.3 million on buying back its own STRC shares from September 28 to October 4. These actions come as Strategy reported a substantial $20.91 billion gain from its digital assets in Q3, highlighting its aggressive investment strategy.
With total Bitcoin holdings now valued at approximately $70.82 billion, Strategy’s moves could influence broader market trends. Traders are likely to watch for potential volatility as institutional interest in Bitcoin may increase. The company’s strategy of combining large-scale Bitcoin acquisitions with share buybacks positions it as a key player in the cryptocurrency space.
The crypto market remains mixed, but Strategy’s actions inject a dynamic element into Bitcoin’s landscape. Analysts and traders will need to monitor these developments closely, as they could signal larger shifts in market sentiment and price stability.
