Strategy Buys 1,665 Bitcoin with MSTR Stock Proceeds
Strategy, an investment company, recently disclosed its quarterly transactions for September 21-27, 2026. During this period, Strategy sold approximately 1.47 million shares of its Class A common stock (MSTR Stock), generating net proceeds of $246.2 million.
The proceeds from the sale were then used to purchase bitcoin and repurchase under its digital credit securities repurchase program. Specifically, $142.7 million was spent on buying 1,665 bitcoin at an average price of $85,681 per unit. As a result, Strategy's total bitcoin holdings rose to 847,666 units.
The company also used $103.5 million to repurchase 1.53 million shares of STRC Stock under its digital credit securities repurchase program. In addition, Strategy used a combination of MSTR Stock sale proceeds and USD Cash to fund the purchase of 1.54 million shares of STRC Stock for a total of $151.7 million.
As of September 27, 2026, Strategy's balance sheet showed that it held $5.02 billion in its USD Reserve and $1.00 billion in USD Cash. The company still had significant capacity under its ATM programs, including $18.84 billion for MSTR Stock and $17.51 billion for STRC Stock.
