Strategy, a company listed on NASDAQ (MSTR), purchased $370 million worth of Bitcoin on August 31. This move comes after four consecutive sales totaling over $400 million.

The latest purchase was made at an average price of $80,318 per Bitcoin, which is higher than the prices at which Strategy sold its Bitcoin holdings earlier this year.

According to Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, the company's decision to sell some of its Bitcoin holdings was due to capital management needs. In the first quarter of 2026, Strategy posted a $12.5 billion loss and needed to fund a preferred dividend payment by June 30.

Saylor has maintained that he never sells his personal Bitcoin holdings, but as the founder of a public company, he has the discretion to make decisions on behalf of the firm.
