Strategy Buys No New Bitcoin, Boosts Dollar Reserves to $5.1 Billion
Strategy, an investment company led by Michael Saylor, announced that it did not acquire any additional Bitcoin over the past week. However, the firm increased its dollar reserves to $5.1 billion and set aside $1.59 billion in cash.
The extra cash can be used for various purposes, including future Bitcoin purchases, preferred dividend payments, interest on convertible notes, and share buybacks. According to Saylor, this move will further strengthen STRC, the company's preferred stock.
Strategy currently holds a significant portion of the total Bitcoin supply, equivalent to about 4%. The firm maintains net leverage at approximately 0%, indicating minimal debt obligations.
