Strategy Capital Raises $2 Billion, Allocates Funds for Bitcoin Treasury Flexibility
Strategy Capital, a company known for its aggressive fundraising and Bitcoin accumulation strategy, has raised $2.01 billion through the sale of MSTR shares over a single week in late August. The funds were generated by selling 18.26 million MSTR shares between August 17 and 23.
The allocation of proceeds was significant: Strategy repurchased $136.4 million worth of STRC preferred shares, added $300 million to its existing USD Reserve, and created a new $1.59 billion USD Cash pool for flexible Bitcoin treasury purposes.
Despite the substantial raise in capital, Strategy chose not to purchase any additional Bitcoin during this period, opting instead to hold onto its 840,447 BTC. This decision suggests that the company may be exercising caution or waiting for a specific entry point in the market.
