Strategy CEO Dismisses Concerns Over 7,000-BTC Sale Strategy Amid MSCI Eligibility Criterion Row
Strategy CEO Phong Le has dismissed concerns over a 7,000-BTC sale strategy, stating that it does not pose any risks to the company's inclusion in global benchmark indices.
In a letter to MSCI, Michael Saylor and Phong Le urged the index firm to withdraw a proposed eligibility criterion that would remove Strategy from its global benchmark indices. The move is seen as an attempt to mitigate any potential negative impact on the company's valuation due to its large Bitcoin holdings.
Recently, Bitfinex Securities listed five tokenized notes tied to Strategy and Metaplanet, allowing eligible non-U.S. investors to track their performance.
Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation, purchasing 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million at an average price of $80,318 per unit last week, after a two-month pause in sales.
