Strategy Continues Net Buying Spree, Eyes Further BTC Purchases
Strategy, a company that has been steadily acquiring Bitcoin (BTC), resumed its buying activity in the last two weeks. As of now, Strategy holds an impressive 847,666 BTC.
In a recent interview with Binance, Michael Saylor, President of Strategy, discussed the company's approach to purchasing BTC. He explained that there is no fixed target for Bitcoin assets and that Strategy will continue to acquire them as it raises capital through equity and loan products.
Saylor emphasized that the rise in Bitcoin's price could support further purchases by reducing the company's funding costs. This, he believes, creates a positive cycle where increasing market acceptance of STRC reduces investors' demand for additional returns, lowering Strategy's funding costs.
As a result, the company can raise new capital under more favorable conditions, leading to increased Bitcoin purchases. Saylor pointed out that STRC buyback announced on September 28 as an example of this active capital management strategy.
Saylor also stated that accumulating more BTC will become exponentially more difficult as the price rises. However, he noted that the company's securities and stock price would grow along with Bitcoin, creating a complementary structure between Bitcoin, STRC, and MSTR.
