Strategy Continues to Accumulate Bitcoin Amid Market Upsurge
Strategy, a company that has been selling its Bitcoin stockpile since earlier this year, has continued to accumulate more of the cryptocurrency. The firm added 1,665 new Bitcoins last week, bringing its total holdings to 847,666 coins.
This increase in Bitcoin holdings is significant, especially considering the recent price surge of the cryptocurrency. Over the past three months, Bitcoin's value has risen by over 40%, reaching around $83,000 as of Monday morning.
The overall value of Strategy's Bitcoin stockpile remains below its peak value in early October, when the cryptocurrency hit an all-time high of more than $126,000 per coin. However, the firm's decision to continue buying Bitcoin despite the current market fluctuations is a sign that it believes in the long-term potential of the cryptocurrency.
The crypto market's turnaround has also led to a significant influx of funds into spot bitcoin funds. Last week, a total of $2.4 billion flowed into these funds, marking a reversal of year-long outflows and pushing year-to-date inflows to over $1 billion.
