Strategy Hints at Massive New Bitcoin Purchase Amid Growing Portfolio
Michael Saylor, founder and chairman of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), has hinted at another significant Bitcoin purchase. In a recent post on X, he commented 'More orange than ever,' referring to data from the StrategyTracker platform showing an all-time high density of orange purchase markers as of October 4, 2026.
This phrase has traditionally preceded official filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announcing large purchases by the company.
Strategy's Bitcoin portfolio is one of the largest in history, comprising approximately 847,666 BTC, or about 4.04% of Bitcoin's total supply. With an average purchase price of $75,442.45 per coin, the portfolio is valued at around $72.20 billion at current market prices.
The company's Digital Credit Stack has contributed to its unique debt model, allowing it to raise liquidity by issuing specialized bonds with fixed yields ranging from 9.00% to 13.63% annually.
