Strategy Hits 848000 Bitcoin as Accumulation Streak Continues
Strategy has continued its Bitcoin accumulation streak, marking the third consecutive week of purchases. The company added 334 BTC to its holdings for $28.7 million, bringing its total to a new all-time high of 848,000 BTC. This latest acquisition solidifies Strategy's position as the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, a title it has maintained since starting its purchases over six years ago.
Despite macroeconomic uncertainty and political turmoil, Strategy has remained committed to its Bitcoin strategy. The firm has spent nearly $64 billion on Bitcoin, with an average purchase price of $75,441 per unit. At current prices around $86,000, Strategy's holdings are valued at an unrealized gain of almost $9 billion.
In addition to its Bitcoin purchases, Strategy has also repurchased $176 million worth of its own stock (STRC). The stock's price had slumped to $75 during the summer but has since rebounded to nearly $99.5 as of Friday’s close. Michael Saylor, Strategy's CEO, highlighted these developments in a post on X, noting that the company reported a $21 billion gain on digital assets in Q3 2026.
