Strategy Inc. Adds 334 Bitcoin to $73 Billion Treasury
Michael Saylor’s Strategy Inc. has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings, acquiring 334 BTC from October 1-4 for $28.7 million. The company purchased the Bitcoin at an average price of $85,838 per coin, bringing its total Bitcoin treasury to 848,000 BTC, valued at approximately $73 billion. The funding for this purchase came from $15.7 million in MSTR share sales and $13 million from existing cash reserves.
Simultaneously, Strategy repurchased 1.7 million preferred STRC shares for about $176 million. The company’s shares traded around $163, gaining roughly 2% during Monday’s session and climbing 30% month-over-month. The recent Bitcoin acquisition follows a 1,665 BTC purchase two weeks prior, indicating a resumption of accumulation after a brief period of asset liquidation.
Strategy’s Bitcoin treasury now stands at 848,000 BTC, with an aggregate investment totaling just under $64 billion. This reflects an average acquisition cost of $75,440.70 per Bitcoin. The company also reported a $21 billion gain on digital assets in Q3 2026. Following these transactions, Strategy’s USD Reserve balance stood at $4.88 billion, with USD Cash specifically at $833.4 million.
STRC shares are currently trading around $99, marginally below the $100 par value, showing a notable recovery from the 2026 trough near $74. MSTR has experienced significant volatility throughout the year, with a 48% decline over twelve months. However, recent momentum has helped recover some losses, with a roughly 30% surge in the past 30 days as Bitcoin prices have strengthened.
