Strategy Inc. Eyes Fresh Bitcoin Purchases Amid Regulatory Momentum
Strategy Inc., led by Chair Michael Saylor, may be preparing to announce new Bitcoin purchases after a three-week hiatus. On Sunday, Saylor posted Strategy's Bitcoin accumulation chart on X, where orange circles mark each purchase. He wrote, 'A good time to add more dots.'
This typically precedes purchase disclosures on the following Monday, but that hasn't been the case lately. From late June through early August, Strategy halted new Bitcoin purchases and sold 6,916 BTC to bolster its cash reserves.
However, the company ended its two-month buying drought on Aug. 31 by acquiring 4,603 BTC for $370 million at an average price of $80,382 per coin. Since then, no further acquisitions have been reported. Strategy now holds nearly $69 billion in Bitcoin, but has nearly $9 billion in unrealized losses on its holdings.
