Strategy Inc. Re-Enters Bitcoin Accumulation Mode with $369M Purchase
Strategy Inc., the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, has ended its ten-week selling streak by purchasing 4,603 BTC between August 24 and 30 for $369.7 million.
The aggressive move was funded by fresh at-the-market equity sales and secured a slight premium to the current spot market, with Strategy paying an average of $80,318 per coin, slightly above Bitcoin's last trading price of $78,280.
This marks a significant shift for the company, which had been selling its BTC holdings since June 29, unloading 6,948 coins for $432.5 million to fund preferred-stock dividends and STRC share repurchases.
The return to accumulation was telegraphed by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, who posted 'We’re ₿ack' to social media on Sunday, sparking a 1-2% increase in Strategy's shares ahead of Monday's NYSE open.
