Strategy Inc Suffers Q2 Loss as Bitcoin Holdings Take a Hit
Strategy Inc (NASDAQ:MSTR) reported a net loss of $24.45 per share for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to earnings of $32.60 per share in the same period last year.
The company's operating loss of $8.33 billion for the quarter included an unrealized loss of $8.32 billion on its digital assets, including approximately 846,000 bitcoins with a market value of $54.77 billion based on a bitcoin price of $64,915 as of July 27.
Revenue rose 6.9% YoY to $122.4 million, matching analyst estimates of $122.4 million. Strategy held around 11% more bitcoins than the previous quarter and reduced its convertible debt by 18%
In a statement, Phong Le, President and Chief Executive Officer, said 'In the second quarter of 2026, Strategy strengthened its balance sheet while navigating a meaningful bitcoin price decline.'
