Strategy Launches Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index Amid Declining Prices

Strategy Inc., the world's largest holder of Bitcoin, has launched the Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index, ranking 25 financial institutions based on their adoption of Bitcoin. Fidelity tops the list with a score of 71%, while Royal Bank of Canada trails at 13%. The index aims to solidify Strategy's position as an innovator and authority in Bitcoin integration.

The company has also paused its Bitcoin purchases to focus on strengthening its balance sheet, which now stands at $3.2 billion. This decision is a result of the company's vulnerability amid declining Bitcoin prices, with its current holdings of 843,775 BTC facing paper losses. Strategy's reliance on stock and debt financing raises concerns about its business model, potentially diminishing shareholder value if Bitcoin prices continue to fall.
